Coal Ministry gone completely Digital

Ministry of Coal has decided to convert all papers and documents into digital format in keeping with the Prime Minister’s Digital India Initiative. It has fully implemented e office application on 17-10-2016 and the entire file work in the Ministry is now being done electronically. The digitization process is expected to be completed by the end of this fiscal year.

Shri Piyush Goyal said in Lok Sabha “digitization process has brought transparency and efficiency in the working of the Ministry as it would facilitate quick processing and instant movement of files thus enabling seamless and fast decision making. It would also enable quick retrieval of files/records and prevent loss/misplacing of files/records.”
