Poor response to Goa ore e-auction

As per information available with the Directorate of Mines and Geology (DMG), of the 6,90,430 tonnes of ore offered for e-auction, 70,940 tons of ore got sold, with 6,19,490 tonnes of ore remained unsold. There were 13 lots on auction of which eight lots remained unsold.

In the last 30 months DMG has conducted 18 e-auctions and sold nine million tonnes of ore of the 15 million tonnes identified for the purpose.

The e-auction is conducted through Metal Scrap Trading Corporation (MSTC) under supervision of the Supreme Court appointed monitoring committee by DMG.
