KATM Weekly Price Indicators for Bulk Physical Commodities

Coal price declined sharply this year and there was a dip upto $50 for seaborne benchmark thermal coal trade, and $75 for coking coal trade. The current trend although is higher, hovering around $80+ & $150+ a tonne, respectively. Iron Ore prices too has been showing a downward trend and is holding around $80.

  • HMS (80:20) Scrap: 270 US$/MT CFR Turkey
  • Coking Coal Prime Hard (Low Vol):  169 US$/MT CFR  ECI
  • Thermal Coal (RB1 6000 NAR): 89 US$/MT CFR ECI
  • Thermal Coal (RB2 5500 NAR): 74 US$/MT CFR ECI
  • Thermal Coal (RB3 4800 NAR): 60 US$/MT CFR ECI
